INTEC VIDEO SYSTEMS INC.
Intec Video Systems Inc. was founded in 1970 as a manufacturer of industrial closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras. In 1978 Intec introduced Car Vision, an advancement of the CCTV technology to provide an extra margin of safety to operators of large vehicles by eliminating blind spots. Intec now provides a product line of over 30 cameras and monitors, in black-and-white and color. The pioneer in rear vision, Intec has remained on the cutting edge of innovation by constantly developing and improving our safety camera systems using the latest in electronics technology.
PETERSON PACIFIC CORP.
The 5700C is Peterson’s latest generation of high-production grinders. Powered by a Caterpillar C27 engine making 1,050 horsepower (783 kW), the 5700C has the power to handle the toughest jobs. At 78,000 pounds (35,380 kg) the 5700C was designed for operations that require frequent moves between jobs without a special permit. With a feed opening of 60 by 40 inches (152 by 102 mm) combined with Peterson’s high-lift feed roll, the 5700C can readily reduce a wide range of material including stumps. The 5700C utilizes Peterson’s Impact Release System that can be set in the detent mode to provide consistent product sizing or switched to the floating anvil mode for a primary reduction where accurate sizing is less critical. The floating anvil mode provides a high-production primary reduction with more protection from contaminated feedstocks and reduced fuel consumption.
TERRA COMPACTOR WHEEL
From 100 TPD to 2,000-plus TPD operations, Terra transfer station wheels are vital in highly abrasive environments, handling C&D material, household waste, greenwaste, plastic, glass, and hot slag. Terra wheels withstand the abuse, while providing proven performance and extended wheel body life duration. They are armored with aggressive, field-install, bolt-on tractive pads. Terra wheels save money, protect facility floors, increase traction, and prevent entire wheel body replacement. They maximize machine performance and increase productivity at less than half the cost of hard rubber or pneumatic tires. Innovative Terra products are created for municipal and C&D operations. Standard steel options are also available.
AIR CYCLE CORP.
Air Cycle is pleased to announce the CFL Premium Bulb Eater, a new version of the award-winning lamp-crushing system. The CFL Premium crushes fluorescent lamps of any size into 100% recyclable material, freeing up valuable storage space, reducing handling and related labor costs, and cutting recycling costs by 50% or more. The system can hold up to 3,000 compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) or 1,350 4-foot fluorescent. The CFL Premium is available in select areas of the United States and internationally.
Designed for use in the extreme environments of landfills, the LF-120 HydroSeeder is an efficient method for applying alternative daily cover (ADC), as well as for the application of materials to control odor, dust, and erosion. The LF-120 will cover the average open face in less than one hour, using only one tank load, and has a tower discharge distance up to 180 feet. It features a heavy-duty mechanical agitator for fast, thorough material mixing, and components and engine are protected from landfill debris with the addition of special guards and skid plates.
FUMOTO ENGINEERING OF AMERICA INC.
Fumoto Engineering offers an Engine Oil Drain Valve that replaces standard oil drain plugs to simplify oil changing. The high-quality forged brass ball valve allows the customer to drain oil with a touch of a finger. Simply turn the lever to release oil, and then turn it back to the locking position to prevent accidental opening. A small amount of oil can also be drawn from the bottom for oil analysis sampling. For engines with limited clearance, the N-Series valve comes with a hose connector that allows the operator to drain the oil away from the unit. Tested and approved by most major engine manufacturers, the Engine Oil Drain Valve carries lifetime warranty.
PRECO ELECTRONICS INC.
Preco Electronics Inc. recently released its newest addition to the PreView Radar family of industrial and commercial blind-spot safety products: PreView WorkSight for Waste. WorkSight for Waste is tailored to the specific working conditions of the waste collection industry. Unlike its predecessor, it requires only a single, rear-mounted sensor to detect objects up to 20 feet behind the waste collection truck, in any weather or visibility conditions. The detection zone behind the vehicle is narrower to reduce the number of nuisance alarms resulting from objects or people safely off to the sides of the vehicle. The combination of audible and visual alerts offers drivers an active alert when people, other vehicles, or objects are in danger. PreView customers report a decrease of over 75% in blind-spot accidents after installing PreView Radar products.
POSI-SHELL ENVIRONMENTAL PRODUCTS
Posi-Shell Clear provides economical dust and erosion control. It penetrates and bonds dusty surfaces, creating a layer that is resistant to wind and water erosion. It can be applied through water trucks or standard hydroseeding units, keeping air quality within standards without running a water truck all day long.
EVANS COOLING SYSTEMS
Evans Cooling Systems of Sharon, CT, has a patented technology for the only waterless engine coolant, providing superior benefits not found with traditional water-based engine coolants. Water-based coolants must be maintained at a temperature below the boiling point of water to keep the system functional, whereas Evans HDTC protects the engine at temperatures well above the boiling point of water. This results in decreased fan time and increased fuel savings. Reducing fuel consumption, decreasing maintenance costs, and contributing to a cleaner environment are all achievable with Evans waterless engine coolant.
