Hard to believe, but less than a month from now—January 29–31, to be more precise—the Hilton Hotel in Baltimore, MD, will play host to LMOP’s 2013 Conference and Project Expo.
As I’ve said on several occasions in the past, in my humble opinion, LMOP would do well as the model for many of the EPA’s programs. Rather than considering itself the authority on landfill methane issues and practices, LMOP’s remarkably small staff proceeds on the premise that it is there to meet the needs of its partners…truly a “What do you want us to do for you” approach that really works.
For more detailed information on the event, please visit http://www.epa.gov/lmop/workshops/16th.html where on the agenda page you will find (perhaps to your amazement) that I will be delivering the Keynote Address. So if you’re not there, you won’t be able to see for yourself how much methane your friendly editor is capable of producing before the program gets down to serious business.
