SCS Field Services Co-Locates With Engineering Consulting Offices

The Field Services group of leading international environmental consulting firm, SCS Engineers, has moved from its Rancho Bernardo location to the San Diego office of SCS Engineers at 8799 Balboa Avenue in Kearny Mesa.

Vice President Daniel E. Johnson is enthusiastic about the move because it will allow the engineering and field services offices to run more efficiently as a team. "The goal of SCS Engineers as a company is to support existing environmental consulting clients by providing a full range of in-house construction services," said Johnson. "This consolidation allows us to provide those additional services in San Diego all under one roof."

The Field Services group operates and maintains landfill gas collection services and provides environmental compliance monitoring and reporting in San Diego County. This includes the upkeep, maintenance and expansion of the gas collection systems, as well as environmental testing and treatment. Currently the division is working with ten closed sites for the County, performing services for allied waste industries in active and open landfills.

Steve Cooper, field services manager for the San Diego office, noted, “We now have full access and closer proximity to the technology infrastructure and are more centrally located to serve our key clients. We are not merging into each other, but rather, supporting one another.”
