SCS Engineers Signs Contract With City Of Orange For Installation Of Migration Probes
The Long Beach office of SCS Engineers, a leading international environmental consulting firm , recently signed a $46,000 contract to abandon and re-install replacement perimeter migration monitoring probes in Orange, Calif.
SCS Engineers is responsible for the abandonment and re-installation of eight probes due to the widening of the city streets adjacent to the Villa Park Landfill.
The firm will prepare a Basis of Design Report for submittal to the Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHCA) detailing the relocation of the landfill perimeter probes. Once the well locations have been approved by OCHCA, a geophysical survey will be completed by Underground Service Alert (USA). SCS will then drill and install probes in accordance with the approved Basis of Design Report and a summary report will be prepared for agency approval. The project is slated for completion in spring 2008.
The SCS Engineers project team includes Ray Huff as project manager and Russell Kikkert as field supervisor. Paul Tran is the project manager for the City of Orange.
