Bayne Hires Valerie Arnold As Purchasing Manager

Bayne Premium Lift Systems, a leading manufacturer of hydraulic cart lifters for refuse collection vehicles and commercial/industrial applications, has hired Valerie Arnold as purchasing manager.

Arnold is charged with managing purchased materials and improving inventory turns, developing streamlined purchasing procedures and protocols, performing cost analysis studies and building positive supplier relationships. She will work closely with parent company Heil Environmental’s supply chain team to ensure operational synergy and to optimize established supplier relationships.

“We are confident that Valerie’s experience, leadership skills, problem-solving abilities and business savvy will enable her to improve Bayne’s procurement processes and help us achieve our operational and supplier quality objectives,” says Doug Pheffer, Bayne general manager.

Arnold has more than 15 years experience in supply chain management, Lean Six Sigma training, contract negotiations and ISO-related policies and procedures. Immediately prior to joining Bayne, she served as strategic sourcing manager for Hubbell Lighting, Inc., also of Greenville. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration/finance from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C., and a master’s of business administration (MBA) from Webster University in Greenville. She is a certified purchasing manager (CPM).

Arnold lives in Simpsonville, S.C, with her husband, Ken, and their daughter, Aubrey.
