SCS Engineers Provides Mass Excavation For Simply Self Storage In Little Italy

The San Diego office of SCS Engineers, a leading international environmental contracting firm, is serving as the General Engineering Contractor for a recently signed $625,120 contract with Simply Self Storage. SCS will provide mass excavation and soil export for Simply Self Storage’s newly proposed site, located at the intersection of Kettner and Juniper streets in the Little Italy community of San Diego, Calif.

Simply Self Storage is a privately owned self-storage company with more than 225 facilities and more than 15.6 million square feet of storage space in the United States and Puerto Rico.

The site encompasses 20,000 square feet of undeveloped land that was previously used for gasoline sales, automotive repair and both single- and multi-family residences.

Ralph Vasquez is the project manager for SCS Engineers, with Daniel Johnson serving as project director and Robert Gutzler, P.G., as project geologist. Jim Campbell is the president for Campbell Development, the developer and general contractor.
