Labrie Environmental Group Collection Equipment Made Safer & Greener with Water Glycol Fire Resistant Hydraulic Fluid
Year in, year out, fleets of collection vehicles experience situations where hydraulic piping ruptures and sprays hydraulic fluid onto hot surfaces, causing fire and severe hazard to operators and equipment. These events are also responsible for oil spillage which proves to be very costly from both operational and environmental aspects.
Labrie Environmental Group strives to bring to market greener, more efficient, smarter and safer equipment for the solid waste industry. “Making our collection units compatible with Forsythe Power Flo water glycol fire resistant hydraulic fluid is proving to be both safer and greener initiatives”, said Eric Tremblay, Vice-President Sales & Marketing, Labrie Environmental Group.
Forsythe Power Flo water glycol fire resistant hydraulic fluid provides a safer working environment than conventional mineral oil based hydraulic fluids.
Also, comparatively to other water based fluids, it increases protection against premature pump and component wear, rust and corrosion, thus extending longevity of equipment and lowering downtime and maintenance costs. Power Flo reduces environmental liability in case of spills or leaks due to its biodegradability level.
"Forsythe Power Flo hydraulic fluid was selected to eliminate the risk of fire in our automated side loaders. And, as a city dedicated to "greener actions", the biodegradable characteristic of this oil actually helps protecting the environment in case of spillage", said Steve Simpson, Equipment Services Assistant Manager, at City of Greensboro, NC.
The Engineering and Product Management teams at Labrie Environmental Group have designed the Leach, Labrie and Wittke product lines to allow for the use of Power Flo, though some modifications and restrictions may apply. Please see us at Waste Expo, booth # 2160. www.labriegroup.com
