SCS Engineers Provides Environmental Site Assessment For Thomas Jefferson School Of Law In East Village
The San Diego office of SCS Engineers, a leading international environmental consulting firm, provided the Thomas Jefferson School of Law with due diligence and environmental consulting services for its proposed new site located at 1123 Island Ave., in the East Village area of San Diego, Calif.
Currently the site contains a one-story building and small parking lot. The building was reportedly built in 1957 and since then has been utilized as a rehabilitation center. Other uses for the property included automobile sales, auto part sales, a school, public playgrounds, a community hall and auto recycling business.
The Thomas Jefferson School of Law is proposing to demolish the building and parking lot in order to construct a new eight-story building with three levels of underground parking.
Chuck Pryatel was the project manager for SCS Engineers, with Daniel Johnson serving as project director, Robert Gutzler, P.G., and Joe Nawikas as project geologists, Ryan Marcos and Cristobal Ramirez as environmental professionals, and Tracy Thompson as environmental engineer.
