Veolia Environmental Services to Create Up To 40 New Jobs in Milwaukee Employees to Benefit from Environmentally-Conscious Office Space
Veolia Environmental Services North America Corp. (VESNA) is pleased to announce the opening of its new Shared Service Center in Milwaukee, WI. Veolia’s Shared Service Center – which provides state-of-the-art financial back-office and purchasing support for the company nationally – will create up to 40 new jobs in the Milwaukee area. In keeping with the company’s core commitment to sustainability, the new space integrates sustainable design practices throughout.
Located at the Honey Creek Corporate Center in Milwaukee, the Shared Service Center is part of a series of implementations by VESNA in 2008 that will allow the entire business to be on a single financial and purchasing system by the end of the year. New systems will allow Veolia to analyze data and drive cost reductions through a more integrated approach. “This project not only prepares us for planned future growth, but will also put us on the leading edge of Veolia’s global financial system and back-office strategy,” said Jeff Adix, senior vice president of support services for VESNA. “We anticipate hiring up to 40 new employees at the Center.”
“But the expansion is not only about needing additional space for our growing company,” continued Adix. “It also reflects our company’s sustainability charter of promoting healthy environmental practices in all aspects of our work.”
Veolia worked with Eppstein Uhen Architects on the 8,700 square foot expansion to ensure integration of sustainable design. This included the use of renewable materials, recycled components, environmentally friendly products such as low VOC paint, and re-use of existing conditions where possible.
Campbell Construction was the general contractor and Geneva Management Services handled the lease renewal and expansion.
