Ze-gen Welcomes Jason Hardebeck As Vice President of Market Development
Ze-gen, Inc., a clean energy company providing advanced gasification technology to convert waste streams into synthesis gas and low emissions electrical energy, today announced the addition of Jason Hardebeck to their expanding team. Mr. Hardebeck is joining Ze-gen as the Vice President of Market Development and will spearhead project development efforts along the east coast.
Mr. Hardebeck’s professional career spans over 20 years in a number of different technical fields. He has extensive experience in the environmental sector, having led efforts to commercialize zero-emissions disinfection and recycling technologies in the medical waste field. Mr. Hardebeck has served in a variety of operational and marketing roles in several industrial and consumer products and Internet technology companies. In 2000, he founded and served as CEO for WhoGlue, a relationship-management software company for non-profit organizations. Mr. Hardebeck’s entrepreneurial background was recognized in 2005 when he was appointed by Maryland’s Governor to serve as the state’s Entrepreneur in Residence. Mr. Hardebeck’s prior experience includes serving as a nuclear-trained Surface Warfare Officer in the U. S. Navy with responsibilities for the operation of naval nuclear reactors.
Mr. Hardebeck said, “I have always believed that recycling and renewable energy become truly viable only when their fundamental economics are competitive with traditional methods of waste disposal and power production. Ze-gen’s pragmatic approach to solving this economic hurdle is unique and just simply makes sense. I truly believe Ze-gen will be one of those companies that future generations will recognize as helping to lead the way to true environmental sustainability, and I’m both honored and excited to have the opportunity to join the team that is going to make this happen.”
Mr. Hardebeck holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and an MS in Business from the Johns Hopkins University. He serves on the boards of the Baltimore Chapter of the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship and the Naval Academy Executive Roundtable and as the Executive Director of the Maryland Business Council.
About Ze-gen, Inc:
Ze-gen was founded to develop and deploy advanced gasification technology which converts renewable biomass waste streams into energy and other beneficial products with virtually zero emissions. In addition to the environmental problems associated with conventional means of waste disposal, there is considerable energy content in ordinary waste streams. Industry data suggests that in the United States alone, over 50,000 megawatts of latent energy potential is unexploited every year as these waste streams are buried in landfills. Ze-gen is poised to be the market leader in the environmentally friendly re-purposing of these waste streams into renewable energy.
